User Experience Design

We create compelling user experiences through best practices in information architecture.

UX Process

Intuitive navigation doesn’t happen by chance. That’s why the User Experience team at Axis Technology, LLC is dedicated to applying sound principles of design and architecture to our front-end solutions. We deliver top-tier, front-end solutions to some of the largest financial institutions in the country.

Our proven methodology centers the design effort around the users, balancing their needs with the business context in which a system is being built. The result is a solution that not only meets the core functional requirements, but that fits the processes and expectations of the people for whom the system is built.

Process
The design process begins and ends with user involvement. In the earliest phases of scoping and requirements gathering, representatives are interviewed and grouped according to their needs and their goals as stakeholders in the system.

Our user-centric approach continues through information architecture and interaction design efforts – working collaboratively with the user community to ensure the structure of the application remains consistent with their business processes and functional expectations.

The process culminates in prototyping, giving users a chance to see the system in action, take part in usability testing, and provide the design team with final guidance before the specification goes into development.

The High-Level User Needs Matrix is a breakdown of the users and their goals, and captures important system functionality from the user perspective.

User Needs Matrix

The Functional Requirements Matrix provides an overview of all the functionality associated with a system. It is an invaluable tool to balance business goals and user priorities.

Personas are abstract user representations created early in the user experience design process. Each persona represents a set of users that fundamentally represent a community, its interests, and its activities.

The Site Map provides a clear picture of the different parts of the application, as well as the size and complexity, and should act as a blueprint for coordination between design and technology teams.

Wireframes capture system functionality at the screen level. They provide the business, the users, and the design team with a picture of the functionality, content, and primary navigational elements for the key screens.
