About This Site

In keeping with our philosophy of leveraging existing investments and open source tools whenever possible, we created this Web site using Plone, an open source content management system.

Benefits
At Axis Technology, LLC, we believe that open source tools can provide clients with customized solutions ideally tailored to their business needs. We believe this can be done without the numerous constraints found in off-the-shelf software products.

A major benefit of Plone is that it provides a portal framework. This allows us to have a public Web site with information for our customers as well as a private site for our consultants. By logging into the intranet, our Axis team members can instantly connect with each other for online collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and email access.

An additional benefit is that maintenance can be handled in-house and in a collaborative style. Site changes can be made very rapidly.
